When I Feel like I'm Never Going to Get There

Whenever doubt drops in or I question if I’m ever going to get where I want to be and I let insecurities sneak in and take over for a hot second - and I’m pretty sure we all have these moments regardless of what level we’re at or how much inner work we’ve done.

This is what I remind myself...

Behind every successful entrepreneur there has been flops, ‘failures’ and disappointments and the only difference between them and the person who doesn’t make it is. They.Never.Give.Up.

They were relentless in their pursuit for what they could see inside them to create.

Here are some famous examples..

Michael Jordan didn’t even make his high school basketball team, he used that rejection to become even more relentless in his desire and Jordan said, Whenever I was working out and got tired and figured I ought to stop, I’d close my eyes and see that list in the locker room without my name on it.” Visualizing that roster did the trick”

JK Rowling was rejected by 12 publishers and when someone did agree to publish her book told her to get a job as there was no money in children books

Colonel Sanders got 1009 no's before someone said yes to his fried chicken recipe. He slept in his car travelling around restaurants all around the country and he was 65 years old. Imagine 1009 no’s before a yes? How many No’s would you hear before you gave up?

Tim Ferris author of the 4 Hour Workweek was rejected by 26 publishers. One gave him a chance and the book went on to number 1 on the New York bestsellers list

Walt Disney Went bankrupt with his first animation company and was fired by a boss for not having imagination…

Vincent Van Gogh only sold ONE painting while he was alive and that was to a friend, but he kept going creating over 800 pieces of art and look how desirable his work is now! One even went for £142.7 million dollars!

Stephen King’s first book Carrie was rejected 30 times, so he chucked it in the bin; his wife got it out and encouraged him to try again. I’ll say no more than he has sold more than 350 million books…

Thomas Edison was told by teacher he was “too stupid to learn anything” He was fired from 2 jobs for being unproductive and he made 1000 attempts at inventing the light bulb and this is one for my favourite quotes from him.

 “I didn’t fail 1000 times; the light bulb was an invention with 1000 steps”

There are a million more examples like this...

When you have a big dream and an expansive vision.. you have to become unshakeable so regardless of what is going on around you, when you feel like you’re failing or not where you want to be, and you will feel like this at times!! You have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, dig your heels in more than ever before, shift your beliefs and your programming so that you become a vibrational match (you don't just have to work harder but shift your internal world while taking massive inspired action)

So next time something goes “wrong” or a launch flops, or a client wants a refund or whatever pops up that makes you feel like giving up remember that before every great success comes some form of “failure” which is course is not really failure but just one step closer to having what you want.
